Country songwriting great TOM T. HALL will soon be honored by BMI at the company’s 60th annual COUNTRY AWARDS, in a private ceremony at the BMI offices in NASHVILLE. The event will be held on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30th.
The BMI “ICON AWARD,” is given to songwriters ‘who have had a “unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.’ Past honorees include DOLLY PARTON, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, WILLIE NELSON, BILLY SHERRILL, JOHN FOGERTY, RAY DAVIES, JAMES BROWN, LORETTA LYNN and many more.
TOM T. HALL classics include, “A Week in a Country Jail,” “The Year That Clayton Delaney Died,“ "(Old Dogs, Children and) Watermelon Wine,” “I Love”, “Country Is”, “I Care,” and “Faster Horses (the Cowboy and the Poet)."
