Martina McBride Pays Special Visit To 'Good Morning America' For Robin Roberts' Medical Leave

REPUBLIC NASHVILLE artist MARTINA MCBRIDE is making a special trip TOMORROW (8/30) to NEW YORK CITY to visit with her good friend and ABC’S GOOD MORNING AMERICA host ROBIN ROBERTS, who is taking a medical leave. ROBERTS announced earlier this week that she will be taking medical leave for a bone marrow transplant and treatment for MDS, a rare bone and blood marrow disorder that she’s been suffering since her battle with breast cancer.

MCBRIDE will be performing her hit single “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” for ROBERTS at the 8a (ET) hour of the show to show her support. ROBERTS joined MARTINA to film the music video for this song, which became an anthem for cancer survivors and their friends and family after its release in AUGUST 2011.

"It meant the world to me when ROBIN joined me in NASHVILLE for the music video. She is an inspiration to me, my family and my fans. I can't wait to see her on THURSDAY to give her a big hug and perform for her. It's an honor," said MCBRIDE.
