ALASKA FEDERATION FOR COMMUNITY SELF RELIANCE is transferring the construction permit for noncommercial FM KRFF/FAIRBANKS, AK to ATHABASCAN FIDDLERS ASSOCIATION, INC. Consideration is listed as "The parties acknowledge that their respective undertakings and commitments herein, designed to ensure the provision of noncommercial educational radio programming that includes locally-focused programming on the Station, constitute sufficient consideration for this Agreement."
In other filings with the FCC, BIG FISH BROADCASTING, LLC has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for WNRA-A/EUFAULA, AL while transmitter and tower repairs continue.
CALVARY OF ALBUQUERQUE, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for FM translator K278BQ/LAS VEGAS, NM because the new owner of the station's tower removed some of the station's receive equipment to accommodate other uses of the space.
TWENTY-ONE SOUND COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has requested a Silent STA for KQQX/HERMANN, MO due to staffing problems caused by "ongoing serious financial difficulties." The station has been silent since MARCH 27th.
JOSE ANTONIO AGUILAR has applied for an extension of the Silent STAs for KHBE/BIG WELLS, TX ad KCOT/COTULLA, TX due to inability to staff the station on a permanent basis.
SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING INC.has closed on the purchase of noncommercial KYZQ/MOUNT PLEASANT, TX from MILLENNIUM BROADCASTING CORP. for $5,750.
And OREGON TRAIL RADIO, INC. and KSRV, LLC have closed on the sale of Country KCMB/BAKER, OR and FM translator K229BN/LA GRANDE, OR to KCMB, LLC, headed by RANDOLPH MCCONE, for $1.25 million and the separate deal in which the seller's KSRV, INC. sold AC KWRL (99.9 THE RIVER) and K258BM/LA GRANDE to the buyer's KWRL, LLC for $750,000.
