The FCC has proposed a $13.000 fine against J. THOMAS DEVELOPMENT OF NM, INC. for a late license renewal application and subsequent unauthorized operation at Regional Mexican KRZE-A/FARMINGTON, NM. The FCC noted that five years passed before the licensee, faced with deletion of its license, filed the renewal application, saying that its omission was "inadvertent."
NORTHEAST INDIANA PUBLIC RADIO is facing a $10,000 fine from the FCC for public file violations at noncommercial WBNI/ROANOKE, IN. The licensee noted in its renewal application that quarterly issues/programs lists for fourth quarter 2009 through 2011 were missing from its file.
And the FCC has proposed a $1,000 fine against the UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND for EAS violations at noncommercial WDCE/RICHMOND. The fine arose from an objection to the station's license renewal by CHRISTOPHER MAXWELL pointing to an absence of EAS alerts on the station, and the Commission found that the station's EAS logs were incomplete.
