Two of BBC RADIO 4's longest-tenured news anchors are leaving the station.
CHARLOTTE GREEN and HARRIET CASS, both with RADIO 4 since the 1970s, accepted voluntary redundancy deals to leave the station in a budget cut. The newsreaders will be exiting RADIO 4 next year as the news anchor staff shrinks from 12 to 10 anchors at the network's new downsized facility.
