KTRG Launches

FREED AM launches AC station KTRG (MAGIC 94.1)/HOOKS-TEXARKANA, TX playing "CONTINUOUS MUSIC FAVORITES." Some of the core artists heard on MAGIC 94.1 include PHIL COLLINS, KATY PERRY, BILLY JOEL, DAUGHTRY, and ADELE.

The station is currently being operated by FREED AM until the pending sale from FAMILY LIFE BROADCASTING to FREED AM is completed. FREED AM owner ROBERT DEOGIORNO JR. also owns and operates local Sports/N/T/Gospel KWXI and KWXI-A, along with Sports/Talk KKTK (FOX SPORTS 1400) in nearby ATLANTA, TX.

TED KELLY (a.k.a THEODORE SEMPER), previously of WEZB/NEW ORLEANS, will handle PD duties. Local veteran air talent JAMIE ALLAN of Gospel KPYN/ATANTA TX has been named for mornings and News Reporter duties.

MAGIC 94.1 has been streaming since TUESDAY (9/4) and goes live TODAY (9/7) after their original launch was delayed due to bad weather caused by HURRICANE ISAAC.
