MAINESTREAM MEDIA, which counts Consultant/Programmer DOM THEODORE among its principals, has flipped Classical WBQW (W-BACH)/PORTLAND, ME to Top 40 "HOT 104.7." It's currently playing 5,000 commercial-free songs in a row.
RYAN DILLON will return to the market to program the station after accruing programming experience in LOS ANGELES. "The goal with the new HOT 104.7 is to provide a new and exciting hit music station on the pulse of southern MAINE including artist and local listener interaction," DILLON said. "There is a lot of hit music that has not reached the southern Maine airwaves and I am excited to fill the void with HOT 104.7."
One the commercial-free songs programming ends, the station will air creative listener and advertising features that will allow for large blocks of uninterrupted music while also promoting local MAINE businesses. "I’m excited to offer local businesses new and exciting opportunities to a fast growing demographic in southern MAINE," GSM JAY DOWE said.
