WAWC Raises Over $40,000 For St. Jude

FEDERATED MEDIA Country WAWC (WILLIE 103.5)/ WARSAW, IN raised $41,167 last THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th and FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th during its 2nd annual INTERRA CREDIT UNION WILLIE 103.5 Country Cares For ST. JUDE KIDS radiothon.

WAWC OM/ PD JAY MICHAELS told ALL ACCESS, “When we left here on day 1 of the event with a tote board at $10,600 we thought $25,000 was going to be a great radiothon but then our listeners made the phones ring like crazy on day 2 and brought in $31,000 in one day! In a market the size of WARSAW, that is awesome! I am proud of our air staff and the passion we all have for the kids at ST. JUDE CHILDREN’s RESEARCH HOSPITAL!”

In addition to the radiothon, the station hosted a concert and motorcycle ride headlined by MERCURY NASHVILLE artist BILLY CURRINGTON and RODEOWAVE RECORDS artist PHIL VASSAR. Those proceeds are still being calculated.
