The FCC has fined OPUS BROADCASTING TALLAHASSEE, LLC $16,000 for public file violations at its Top 40 WHTF (HOT 104.9)/HAVANA, FL, Country WWOF (103.1 THE WOLF) and Classic Rock-Triple A WQTL (106.1 THE FLASH)/TALLAHASSEE, and Adult Hits WANK (HANK FM)/LAFAYETTE, FL.
The licensee admitted in its license renewal application for the cluster's stations that its public file there did not include seven quarterly issues programs lists for the period between OCTOBER 2005 and the first quarter of 2007.
OPUS asked for a reduction or cancellation of the fine due to a history of compliance, but the FCC said that the violation occurring at four separate licensed stations negates the history for the other stations.
