LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO has added a feature to track news media coverage of stories as compared to social media "buzz" for news, talk, and sports stations as part of its LDR.TopicPulse program. The new "News Media vs. Social Media meter" lets producers and hosts know in real time which topics and news stories are trending on Twitter and Facebook as well as local news sources and blogs.
"Since we launched LDR.TopicPulse this SUMMER, we have tracked thousands of news stories and topics. We've been fascinated by the minute-by-minute data on how audiences are talking about news topics and stories online in local markets. Because of our system's intricate tracking, newsrooms can now also see how much 'buzz' a story or topic is getting from traditional news media vs. social media. This is ground-breaking information for news teams—empowering them to cover the news their audience cares about right now." said LDR.TopicPulse Product Manager JAIME SOLIS.
