Bay Area radio personality RENEE RICHARDSON has been named MD and Midday host at CUMULUS Triple A KFOG/SAN FRANCISCO. RICHARDSON’s new position also includes hosting the legendary 10@10 segment. She starts her new roles immediately.
PD DENNIS CONSTANTINE said "For 13 years, RENEE has been part of the KFOG culture sitting on the bench waiting for her turn to take a bigger role. She’s multi-talented, and we're extremely excited to have her in the new role of KFOG MD and midday host. With her holding down the midday on KFOG, it’s as if we've moved from JOE MONTANA to STEVE YOUNG quarterbacking this important air shift."
RICHARDSON said "I'm so excited and frankly amazed on how I got so lucky to be at KFOG to have the experience to have worked with the best in the business over the years and to now play an active role in shaping what’s next."
RENEE moved from NEW YORK to SAN FRANCISCO in 1992 and later began her radio career at Alternative KITS (LIVE 105). She came to KFOG in 1999 in morning drive before moving to afternoons. RENEE still lives in the city with her husband MIKE and their 24-year-old cat FRANK.
CONSTANTINE will handle afternoon-drive duties.
