PREMIERE NETWORKS' RUSH LIMBAUGH is moving in ATLANTA from CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WGST-A to COX MEDIA GROUP News-Talk WSB-A-WSBB, effective OCTOBER 1st. LIMBAUGH will air live noon-3p on WSB, bumping the locally-produced, DIAL GLOBAL-syndicated CLARK HOWARD from middays to 8-10p and DAVE RAMSEY's syndicated show to midnight and weekends.
Also on the move in the WSB lineup are PREMIERE's SEAN HANNITY, who gets cut from 3-6p to 3-5p but has a new long-term deal to keep the show on WSB; ERICK ERICKSON, who moves from 6-8p to 5-7p as anchor of "ATLANTA'S EVENING NEWS"; and ADAM GOLDFEIN, who moves from 8-10p to 10-midnight.
“RUSH is host of AMERICA’s No. 1 talk radio show, and it’s fitting that he will be on the No. 1 news/talk station in AMERICA,” said COX MEDIA GROUP ATLANTA VP and Market Manager BEN REED. “With the addition of RUSH to News/Talk WSB, the NEAL BOORTZ Show will now air from 8:30 a.m. until noon.”
So, what does this mean for WGST? RUSTY HUMPHRIES' local show did not air TODAY (9/26), with PREMIERE's GLENN BECK airing instead and rumors flying about layoffs and possible changes. Could the station be preparing a flip? Is BECK ticketed for another station in the market as well? Stay tuned....
