ARMSTRONG AND GETTY are back on the air at CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KSTE-A/SACRAMENTO, KKSF-A/SAN FRANCISCO, and KWSX-A/STOCKTON,CA TODAY (9/27), talking about their absence from the airwaves for the last two days. 

The pair joked upon returning that they have agreed to play the Muslim call to prayer until further notice and that ARMSTRONG has converted to Islam, then thanked listeners and sponsors for supporting them, saying that some sponsors immediately stepped forward to pledge their support.  GETTY said that their absence was "never about what was said on the air," and that management has "made it clear" that the hosts can say whatever they want.  The reason for their absence, they said, was an internal matter and that they have been asked not to talk about it, but that it was unrelated to the controversy over a call by JACK ARMSTRONG for listeners to post pictures and videos of the PROPHET MUHAMMAD on the Internet as a demonstration of free speech (NET NEWS 9/25) and that the show will not change, promising that they will continue to say things to "horrify everybody."
