NPR News Names Madhulika Sikka Exec. Editor, Neal Carruth Sr. Business Editor

NPR NEWS has named "MORNING EDITION" Exec. Producer MADHULIKA SIKKA as Exec. Editor and Election Editor NEAL CARRUTH as Sr. Business Editor. 

SIKKA joined NPR and "MORNING EDITION" six years ago after serving as Sr. Producer at ABC's "NIGHTLINE."  She will assume her new position in JANUARY.

CARRUTH has been with NPR since interning there in 1999, most recently heading the network's election coverage since AUGUST 2011.  He will start the new job at the beginning of DECEMBER.
