The CRTC has denied the application of LARRY C. OSMOND for a new English-language community FM radio station in GRAND BANK, NL.
OSMOND proposed a 5 watt station on 103.9 FM airing a format of NEWFOUNDLAND and Classic Country music; the Commission said that the application did not demonstrate that the proposed station would be operated by a not-for-profit organization, did not adequately show how its plan would enhance programming diversity, and initially failed to answer the sections of the application form on local talent development.
