ESPN has inked play-by-play voice DAN SHULMAN to a multiyear contract extension, the network has announced. SHULMAN, presently handling ESPN RADIO's coverage of the baseball postseason, will continue as the voice of ESPN TV's SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL and college basketball.
"DAN's one of the most talented and versatile play-by-play commentators in our industry," said SVP and Executive Producer JED DRAKE. "DAN's voice has become unmistakable, his storytelling ability is top-notch and his penchant for making his colleagues better is an incredible asset to ESPN and to sports fans.”
“DAN serves the sports fan to the highest level,” said SHULMAN's baseball partner OREL HERSHISER. “He’s always prepared to make every telecast the best it can be. It’s a genuine pleasure to work with him.”
“The first time I worked with DAN I called the bosses and said this guy has a golden voice and is a flat-out keeper,” said SHULMAN's basketball analyst DICK VITALE. “He is multi-talented and an analysts’ dream to work with. DAN SHULMAN is a PTPer, baby!”
