Diplo & Friends To Debut Friday Nights In L.A.On 98-7fm

New Show Begins November 2nd

CCM+E Alternative KYSR (98-7fm)/LOS ANGELES announced the debut of its new weekly ground-breaking specialty show, featuring internationally revered, GRAMMY nominated DJ, producer and songwriter, DIPLO (a.k.a. WESLEY PENTZ). The show, titled “DIPLO & FRIENDS,” will air on FRIDAY nights from 10-11p starting NOVEMBER 2nd featuring indie rock, hip-hop and dance.

DIPLO is one of the leading forces in today's electronic music scene as well as one of the most poignant names in pop culture. Helming the Mad Decent brand, many recognize DIPLO from his production work for the likes of USHER, SNOOP LION, JUSTIN BIEBER, CHRIS BROWN, NO DOUBT and ALEX CLARE. DIPLO'S JAMAICAN dancehall project, “MAJOR LAZER,” was infamously sampled by BEYONCE.

KYSR PD JULIE PILAT, said, “DIPLO is one of the most influential music tastemakers of this decade. We met originally through MAJOR LAZER and stayed in touch, talking music, via social media. When I found out he moved to L.A. and is a huge fan of 98-7fm, we immediately began discussions for this show. I basically said – ‘Come do a show ... jack my signal … I trust you!’”
