The TEXAS RANGERS will keep the same broadcasters in place that ended the 2012 season, inking radio voices ERIC NADEL and MATT HICKS, Spanish-language play-by-play announcer ELENO ORNELAS, and television play-by-play voice STEVE BUSBY and TOM GRIEVE to contracts for 2013.
DAVE BARNETT, who left the team in midseason after a widely-publicized on-air incident in which he suddenly experienced problems speaking, will not return; BUSBY moved from radio to television to replace him, with HICKS joining at the time to spell BUSBY on radio. Radio pre- and post-game host BRYAN DOLGIN was also not renewed.
RANGERS games air on a network headed by ESPN Sports KESN (ESPN DALLAS 103.3 FM)/DALLAS, with Spanish-language games on ESPN Spanish Sports KZMP-A (1540 AM ESPN DEPORTES)/DALLAS.
