LAST NIGHT’s (11/1) broadcast of the 46th Annual CMA AWARDS on ABC-TV scored big in the ratings, beating the CBS-TV network by more than a million viewers. The event was broadcast live from NASHVILLE’s BRIDGESTONE ARENA and pulled in 13.6 million viewers, in large part due to this year’s stellar line-up of performances.
Appearances and performances by Country stars including TIM McGRAW, FAITH HILL, KENNY CHESNEY, WILLIE NELSON, co-hosts BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD, LITTLE BIG TOWN, BLAKE SHELTON and several others, helped contribute to ABC-TV’s most-watched non-sports THURSDAY in over 3 years.
Ratings may have been higher if not for the widespread East Coast power outages, due to recent hurricane SANDY. Viewers who missed LAST NIGHT’s show will have an opportunity to tune again, as CMT re-telecasts the event on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st at 9p (ET).
Fans can also re-visit highlights of the evening, including winner recaps, photo galleries, and CMT’s exclusive red carpet coverage at www.cmt.com/cma-awards.
