WARNER BROS. NASHVILLE duo BIG & RICH will be the recipients of the “CRS 2013 Artist Humanitarian Award.”
JOHN RICH and KENNY ALPHIN have a long history of charity work from KENNY’s recent efforts in SUDAN, AFRICA which earned him a humanitarian award at the AFRICAN CHILDREN’s CHOIR NYC GALA (NET NEWS 10/16), to JOHN RICH’s televised efforts on NBC-TV’s “CELEBRITY APPRENTICE” to earn money for ST. JUDE CHILDREN’s RESEARCH HOSPITAL.
They have also performed at countless benefits and charity concerts, visited military members and hospital patients, handed out fresh water during NASHVILLE’s 2010 flood, and lent their talents and abilities to several other charitable organizations.
“BIG KENNY ALPHIN and JOHN RICH individually and collectively have used their success to set a personal example for all of us to follow as humanitarians. Their selfless contributions have gone a long way to help make life better for countless men, women, and children, both today and tomorrow” said CRS Executive Director, BILL MAYNE.
