WORLD RADIO LINK INC. is selling Silent KMVV/MEADOW LAKES, AK to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $550,000. The station is moving from its former location south of ANCHORAGE to a new tower north of ANCHORAGE and changing its community of license from STERLING, AK.
In other filings with the FCC, ACADEMY MEDIA INC. is assigning a nonommercial FM construction permit at OURAY, CO to EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS OF COLORADO SPRINGS, INC. for no consideration.
TIM MARTZ' RADIO POWER INC. has requested a Silent STA for FM translation W276BH/BYHALIA, MS "because the current economic climate does not make it possible for the translator to cover the costs of station operations."
And FRANK FEE has closed on the redemption of his 999 shares in GOPHER COMMUNICATIONS CO., licensee of Talk KROX-A/CROOKSTON, NM, for $450,000, paid in monthly $3,500 installments. Son CHRISTOPHER FEE, also the station's afternoon host, is buying one share of the licensee and thus assuming 100% control of the company.
