FULL POWER RADIO Alternative WMRQ (RADIO 104.1)/HARTFORD PM-driver MICHAEL MAZE checks in to tell us his annual "FRIENDS OF MAZE FOOD DRIVE" was a huge success. The two-day food drive collected nearly 300 frozen turkeys about 5,000 pounds of food and enough cash to provide an additional 6,000 meals for those who would go hungry in CONNECTICUT.
Morning man FISCH and midday hostess AMY GREY joined MAZE for two days broadcasting live from a local BIG Y market asking listeners to help the cause. They also collected pet food for the RADIO 104.1 CHASE AWAY HUNGER pet food drive which brought in over 2,200 pounds of pet food and supplies plus nearly $1,200 in monetary donations.
MAZE told ALL ACCESS, "It's an honor to team up with RADIO 104.1 for the second year to continue a drive that means so much to me. This event was a tremendous success because of the hard work and efforts of the entire WMRQ staff. From the sales team getting key clients involved, programming giving us two days to take over the airwaves and of course FISCH, AMY GREY and the street team. I'm already looking forward to NEXT years FRIENDS OF MAZE FOOD DRIVE."
