SIRIUSXM PUBLIC RADIO will air three "CAR TALK" reruns daily, back-to-back, starting FRIDAY (11/23). The show, a staple of NPR for many years, ended production this year and is airing repackaged old shows on NPR and on SIRIUSXM.
The new schedule on the satellite service kicks off with a 9a THURSDAY-5p FRIDAY marathon, followed by regular airings 3-6p (ET) repeated 9p-midnight (ET). The show will also air on SATURDAYS 7-8a and 1-2p and on SUNDAYS 6-7a, noon-1p, and midnight-1a, and will continue on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS 10-11a on the NPR NOW channel.
“CAR TALK’s TOM AND RAY MAGLIOZZI are in the winner’s circle of radio hosts; their program has been a hit for 25 years now, and we want to give our listeners much more than just one hour a week of these guys. A three-hour, daily block of CAR TALK is the perfect daily drive-home companion after work,” said SIRIUSXM SVP, Talk and Entertainment Programming JEREMY COLEMAN. “Now, SIRIUS XM PUBLIC RADIO listeners can enjoy BOB EDWARDS each morning and CAR TALK each afternoon, to learn and laugh every day.”
