Longtime KMOD/OKC Morning Co-Host Phil Stone Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former CLEAR CHANNEL Active Rock KMOD/TULSA morning co-host PHIL STONE, who died last week, the station confirmed via its website.  No further details were available about STONE's passing, although his on-air partner BRENT DOUGLAS posted that "Just to let everyone know, we're in the process of putting a Memorial together for PHIL at the CAINS this THURSDAY at around 5. Will keep you updated."

STONE and DOUGLAS hosted KMOD's morning show, "THE MORNING ZOO," for almost 27 years until departing in SEPTEMBER.  They were best known for their prank call character ROY D. MERCER (voiced by DOUGLAS).
