NPR is expanding its "TED RADIO HOUR," the show based on the "TED TALKS" series of speeches, to a weekly series with "ALL THINGS CONSIDERED" weekend host GUY RAZ joining as host. The show debuted with a 10-episode pilot season this year on over 255 stations; the new season begins in MARCH.
“The audience’s response to the concepts and energy generated by this show was, quite simply, overwhelming,” said VP/NPR Programming ERIC NUZUM. “With ‘the idea’ as its only mandate, there’s an infinite well for GUY and our producers to draw from – the perfect recipe for great radio.”
“We’ve been overwhelmed, in the best of ways, by how TED supporters and public radio fans have received TED RADIO HOUR. We are thrilled that the program will become a weekly show,” said Deron Tiff, director of content distribution at TED. “We want every episode to help listeners perceive the world differently, leaving them not only a little smarter, but actually a bit changed in some way.”
