Charleston, WV Host, GM John Dickensheets Dead At 71

Condolences to family and friends of former WCHS-A and WQBE-A/CHARLESTON, WV sportscaster and GM JOHN DICKENSHEETS, who died SATURDAY after a battle with Parkinson's disease at 71, according to the CHARLESTON GAZETTE.

DICKENSHEETS joined WCHS after college, first in sales and then talking about sports with DICK MARINO and A.L. "SHORTY" HARDMAN of the CHARLESTON GAZETTE, and later co-hosted with DANNY WELLS and CHUCK LANDON.  He also served as public address announcer for the old CHARLESTON CHARLIES and CHARLESTON WHEELERS minor league baseball teams.
