CBS RADIO stations in NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO, and DETROIT will air a series of sponsor-branded pre-GRAMMY AWARDS artist interviews in a promotion deal with advertising client JBL and its parent company HARMAN INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIES. "THE JBL-GRAMMY SPOTLIGHT WITH CARSON DALY," hosted by the Top 40 KAMP (AMP RADIO 97.1)/LOS ANGELES morning host, will include talks with artists like MAROON 5 and ALICIA KEYS and will air starting after tonight's GRAMMY nominations announcement through the day of the awards ceremony, FEBRUARY 10th. The series will also include a sweepstakes for trips to LOS ANGELES for the awards show.
“We want music fans to experience the emotions and excitement these world-class musicians feel when they are honored with the industry’s top award,” said SACHIN LAWANDE, EVP of HARMAN and co-President of HARMAN Lifestyle and Infotainment. “We believe music lovers should hear the truth, and we expect this unique interview series will enhance the connection between top musicians and their fans.”
“I’m exceptionally excited to be the voice of the JBL GRAMMY Spotlight campaign, and I look forward to interviewing artists who have such a special association with the historic music event,” said DALY.
“This promotion is a great example of our ability to create custom content for our partners while also engaging audiences’ locally in key markets,” said RICH LOBEL, EVP of ALTITUDE, CBS' cross-platform sales and marketing arm.
