CBS CORPORATION is planning to broadcast coverage of festivities in NEW ORLEANS during the week leading up to the SUPER BOWL from a "CBS SUPER BOWL PARK" at historic JACKSON SQUARE in the FRENCH QUARTER. The broadcasts will include CBS SPORTS RADIO shows, which will also emanate from "Radio Row" at the ERNEST N. MORIAL CONVENTION CENTER, as well as television shows for CBS and its associated cable networks and digital assets.
“The SUPER BOWL is the granddaddy of big event television, and our approach this year is unlike anything we have ever done,” said President and CEO LESLIE MOONVES. “For the first time, CBS CORPORATION will have week-long, round-the-clock SUPER BOWL coverage on more than a half-dozen platforms. Creating CBS SUPER BOWL PARK at JACKSON SQUARE as the center of all this activity will make it even more compelling, and also illustrate the collaborative efforts across the Company.”
Among the many TV shows to air live from NEW ORLEANS that week will be JIM ROME's CBS SPORTS NETWORK show and the new "LEAD OFF" on CBS SPORTS NETWORK with radio host DOUG GOTTLIEB and ALLIE LAFORCE.
