Condolences to family and friends of longtime CBS RADIO News-Talk WTIC-A/HARTFORD personality and sports host ARNOLD DEAN, who died SATURDAY at 82 at his home in ROCKY HILL, CT.
DEAN (born ARNOLD D'ANGELO) started in his teens in CORTLAND, NY and joining WTIC in JULY 1965. He hosted several different shows on the station, including his long-running "WTIC SPORTSTALK WITH ARNOLD DEAN." He continued to host shows on the station until two weeks before his passing.
WTIC GM SUZANNE MCDONALD said, “Our condolences go out to ARNOLD’s family. He was a treasured member of our WTIC family, and a much-beloved member of the broadcast and sports community
WTIC OM STEVE SALHANY added, “ARNOLD will be missed by the entire WTIC family. He was a consummate professional, consummate gentleman, and an all-around good person.”
