HUBBARD BROADCASTING Hot AC KSTP (KS95)/MINNEAPOLIS PD LEIGHTON PECK tells ALL ACCESS the KS95 for Kids Radiothon, held for 25 hours, DECEMBER 6-7, raised $514,094 for kids. "To date, the KS95 for Kids Radiothon has raised over $12.2 million locally for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, a hospital that treats children with disabilities, and Children's Cancer Research Fund, which supports research and training in the cure, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer," said PECK.
"RYAN & SHANNON, the KS95 Morning Show, anchored the live broadcast from the Mall of America telling many courageous stories of hope from families in our community," continued PECK. "One story in particular was the story of ZACH SOBIECH, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, cancer of the bone, at age 14, who is now age 17. Faced with months to live, ZACH turned to music to help say goodbye to friends and family. Through a partnership with KS95, ZACH was able to write and record the song 'Clouds' in a studio with professional musicians."
