CCM+E News/Talk simulcast KOGO/SAN DIEGO, which split its simulcast to air CHRISTMAS music on the FM, turned off the CHRISTMAS tunes at 9:57a (PT) to become "THE RHYTHM OF SAN DIEGO -- THE NEW 95.7 KISS FM."
If the first five songs are any indication -- PRINCE's "Kiss," The BEE GEE's "You Should Be Dancing," MARIAH CAREY’s "Fantasy," AL GREEN’s "Let’s Stay Together" and DIANA ROSS "I’m Coming Out" -- the format is some form of Rhythmic AC Hits, doing battle with crosstown LOCAL MEDIA OF AMERICA Rhythmic AC XHRM (MAGIC 92.5).
A source at the station has confirmed that the new calls will be KUSS, which was last used when the station was "New Country 95.7."
