CUMULUS MEDIA Classic Hits WLS-F/CHICAGO late-nighter and market legend DICK BIONDI will once again host the 13th annual "ELVIS FEST," reports CHICAGOLAND RADIO & MEDIA. The bash is set for TUESDAY, JANUARY 8th (which would've been THE KING's 78th birthday) at the original MOTHER'S bar on the Gold Coast in CHI-TOWN.
The night will feature ELVIS PRESLEY tribute artists and attendees dressed as ELVIS for an ELVIS-look-alike contest -- the winner of which gets an exclusive "ELVIS 35" letterman/varsity jacket, autographed by BIONDI. There will also be an ELVIS karaoke contest.
One new attraction this year is that a lucky couple will be selected to be legally wed (or renew their vows) by an ordained minister dressed as ELVIS, live on stage. The couple will also win a honeymoon trip for two to LAS VEGAS.
A free buffet -- featuring ELVIS' favorite snack food, peanut butter and banana sandwiches -- will be included for all attendees. As always, there will be a large ELVIS birthday cake; the candles will be lit by DICK BIONDI, who will lead the crowd in singing "Happy Birthday."
Unfortunately, for the first time this year, BIONDI won't be able to be broadcast live from the event. He will call in to the station and record a brief segment from "ELVIS FEST."
