DISNEY MUSIC GROUP has promoted KEN BUNT to President of the company. BUNT, who has been EVP since BOB CAVALLO’s retirement in JANUARY 2012, is a 15-year vet of the Music Group. He oversees all of DISNEY’s recorded music and music publishing operations, which includes the HOLLYWOOD RECORDS and WALT DISNEY RECORDS labels, as well as film and TV soundtracks for DISNEY, WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS, PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS, MARVEL STUDIOS and LUCASFILM.
A release from WALT DISNEY STUDIOS noted that BUNT recently announced a significant expansion to DISNEY MUSIC GROUP’s agreement with UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP, which covers physical and digital rights across most of the globe and gives DMG artists access to UMG’s stable of producers and songwriters.
DISNEY’s roster of artists includes DEMI LOVATO, SELENA GOMEZ, and up-and-comers like BRIDGIT MENDLER, LUCY HALE and R5.
