It's not often an Independent band gets the distinction to be on the top of the charts, but MICHIGAN powerhouse and EONE ENTERTAINMENT's POP EVIL has done it, landing their first career #1 Active Rock single on MEDIABASE with the highly successful single "Trenches."
POP EVIL is managed by G&G ENTERTAINMENT's Father and Son team of GEORGE CAPPELLINI SR. and JR. who said "Five years in the making of hands-on artist development, POP EVIL is the blueprint for an independent rock act. Through relentless work perfecting songwriting skills and live performances, the results are paying off. We have a dedicated team with a will to win, coupled with passionate radio partners who share our mission to be part of trueartist development - A lost art in today's music industry."
POP EVIL's Vocalist LEIGH KAKATAY said,"'Trenches' was written about the constant grind to survive in the music business. Earning our first #1 means more than you could imagine! Thanks to our supporters and believers at rock radio, management and the record label. Most of all we thank the POP EVIL die hard fans for making this happen."
POP EVIL released "Onyx," their third studio LP earlier this year. Accolades continue to pile up as the band releases their most comprehensive material to date. With over 10,000 copies sold in the first week of release, this makes "Onyx" the most successful first week in the band's history.
This milestone is the latest in the band's hard working radio career. POP EVIL has landed a total of four Top 10 Active Rock singles and three Top 5 Rock Singles on their last album, "War Of Angels."
To celebrate the band's first #1 at Active Rock, POP EVIL is offering the single for $0.69 on iTUNES starting tomorrow, JULY 2nd.
