Sad news to pass along. On TUESDAY, JULY 30th, record promotion legend AL COURY was hospitalized for an undisclosed condition. His son broke the news on AL's FACEBOOK page, writing that COURY was still in ICU and "is not well."

Now comes word that COURY has passed. Posted on his FACEBOOK page is:

AL COURY PEACEFULLY PASSED AWAY TONIGHT 08/08/2013 AT 11:30PM. HE WAS AN AMAZING DAD AND A FUN LOVING GRANDPA THAT LIT UP EVERYTIME HIS GRANDKID WERE NEAR. HE TRULY HAD A HEART OF GOLD (PLATINUM!!! MULTI PLATINUM!!!). EARLIER TONIGHT I MET OUR PRIEST AND WE PRAYED BY MY DADS SIDE AND GAVE HIM COMFORT. I TOLD MY DAD THAT IT WAS OK TO MOVE ON AND OUR FAMILY WOULD FIND PEACE. I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE HERE ON FACEBOOK THAT TOOK THE TIME TO SAY SOMETHING TO PAY TRIBUTE TO THIS GREAT MAN. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO SHARE MORE STORIES TO HELP HONOR MY DAD. IT IS VERY REWARDING TO KNOW THAT HE HAS TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE AND HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED. I LOVE YOU DAD AND I ALREADY MISS YOU!!!

COURY was well known for his time as VP at CAPITOL RECORDS, Pres. at RSO Records and GM/Head Of Promotion at GEFFEN RECORDS. ALL ACCESS passes along condolences to the family and friends of this great music man.
