CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX/NASHVILLE APD/afternoon personality ANTHONY “ANTMAN” ALLEN has been named APD/MD/afternoons for Country sister KNIX/PHOENIX, effective MONDAY, AUGUST 19th.
He succeeds KEVIN MANNION for music duties and BILLY MICHAELS in afternoons. Both exited the station FRIDAY (8/9). Reach MANNION at (480) 619-8068 or here and MICHAELS here.
“Anthony is not only a great on-air talent, he also brings another terrific programming and digital mind to our team,” said CLEAR CHANNEL/PHOENIX VP/Programming/KNIX PD STEVE GEOFFERIES. “I’m looking forward to utilizing all of his abilities.”
ALLEN joined WSIX in JANUARY 2012 (NET NEWS 1/3/2012) after programming CLEAR CHANNEL Country KZSN/WICHITA, KS.
“I've watched the Country format battle in PHOENIX from the outside looking in,” said ALLEN. “Now, after all the years of being a spectator, it's an honor to be called in to play! I'm looking forward to being a part of the winning team in PHOENIX.”
