Price For EMF-Merlin WWIQ/Philadelphia Deal: $20.25 Million

EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is paying $20.25 million to MERLIN MEDIA for Talk WWIQ (IQ 106.9)/CAMDEN-PHILADELPHIA, according to the contract attached to paperwork filed with the FCC. MERLIN paid $22.5 million for the station in DECEMBER 2011.
In other filings with the FCC, GEORGIA EAGLE MEDIA, INC. is selling News WRWR-A/WARNER ROBINS, GA to CHRISTOPHER L. MURRAY's WRWR-AM RADIO LLC for $200,000. The seller sold Talk WRWR-F/COCHRAN-WARNER ROBINS, GA to MURRAY's PRAISE 107.5 FM RADIO LLC yesterday for $400,000.
MUNBILLA BROADCASTING PROPERTIES, LTD. is selling Silent KYRT/HUNT, TX to LA PROMESA FOUNDATION for $185,000.
HUGHES COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling noncommercial Contemporary Christian KGPF/SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX to TEMPLO DE DIOS INC. 1 in a lease/purchase arrangement that includes $2,000 per month for 28 months towards the purchase and $1,192.19 for monthly operations.
In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, receiver CLIFFORD H. BOWMAN has sold of Southern Gospel WRIX/HOMELAND PARK, SC, Talk WRIX-F (TALK 103.1)/HONEA PATH, SC and Talk WANS-A/ANDERSON, SC to GREENVILLE attorney TOM ERVIN for an undisclosed price, according to NBC affiliate WYFF-TV/GREENVILLE.
And RADIO DISNEY has filed Notification of Suspension of Operations for KPHN-A/KANSAS CITY and KDIS-F/LITTLE ROCK while it "is negotiating with prospective buyers ... and is committed to completing the sales process as quickly as possible in order to minimize the amount of the time that the station will be silent."
