Sympathies are with family and friends of singer TOMPALL GLASER following his passing in NASHVILLE TODAY (8/13). He was 79.
GLASER recorded as both a solo artist and with his brothers CHUCK and JIM as TOMPALL & THE GLASER BROTHERS, with whom he backed up MARTY ROBBINS.
TOMPALL’s version of “Put Another Log On The Fire” appeared on the 1976 album, “Wanted! The Outlaws,” which included WILLIE NELSON and WAYLON JENNINGS. The landmark release was Country’s first-ever platinum seller. In 1981, the GLASER BROTHERS reunited to cover KRIS KRISTOFFERSON’s “Lovin’ Her Was Easier,” a song that reached #2 on the Country charts.
