ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-F/BOSTON, NESN, and the BOSTON RED SOX' 12th Annual Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon kicked off at 6a (ET) TODAY (8/27) on JOHN DENNIS and GERRY CALLAHAN's radio and TV simulcast. The event, to take place 6a-midnight TODAY and TOMORROW at FENWAY PARK, benefits the DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE and is one of the major NEW ENGLAND charity's largest fundraisers. In 2012, the Radio-Telethon raised over $3.4 million; it has raised over $31 million in eleven years.
“We are blessed to play a role in the amazing team at the DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE as they stand up to cancer. These two days are the most fulfilling and wonderful days of the year for the entire WEEI and ENTERCOM BOSTON family. The people of NEW ENGLAND prove the power of radio through their amazing generosity year after year in support of such a great cause,” said ENTERCOM/BOSTON VP/Market Manager JEFF BROWN.
