Condolences to family and friends of longtime NEW ORLEANS radio newsman and talk host F. MICHAEL FRANKLIN, who died FRIDAY (8/30) in KENNER, LA at 82, according to the NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE.
FRANKLIN, after starting his career at KTRF-A/THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN and WROK-A and WRRR-A/ROCKFORD, IL, was News Director and anchor at WNOE-A/NEW ORLEANS in 1965-73, then worked as an anchor/reporter and talk host at WGSO-A in 1973-83. He moved to WWL-A as anchor/reporter in 1983-1992, and retired in 1008 after a year back at WGSO.
