Momentum 2013 -- Final Recap

And That's A Wrap!

MOMENTUM 2013, hosted by CHRISTIAN MUSIC BROADCASTERS (CMB), ended SATURDAY with shouts and applause.  This year's event was a power-packed three days of education, reconnection, challenge, insight & recharge.

FRIDAY morning began with CMB DEVOTIONS, COFFEE TALK hosted by KSBJ MENTORING & various CMB Gold members, and breakfast.

The morning educational sessions got into gear as nationally syndicated radio host DELILAH encouraged the crew to "BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, STARTING WITH OUR LISTENERS".  

CONNECTED VEHICLE TRADE ASSOCIATION VP/VALERIE SHUMAN followed with "THE CONNECTED CAR AND WHAT'S NEXT FOR RADIO".

Powerful performances on the main stage by PHIL WICKHAM, OBB and MIKESCHAIR rounded out the morning and opened the door for lunch, sponsored by FAIR TRADE SERVICES.

Artist-Filmmaker-FunnyMan STEVE TAYLOR jump started the afternoon educational sessions with his own unique take on "OUT OF SIGHT IS OUT OF MIND".   CBS RADIO Integrated Sales Mgr./KRISTA COUTTS followed with "RADIO BRAND BUILDING - THE INTEGRATED EXPERIENCE".

EVERFOUND, MERCYME and MATT MAHER rocked the MOMENTUM 2013 stage and led into the AFTERNOON BREAKOUT SESSIONS, offering time for questions with speakers from the day.

One of the highlights of the week was the ACOUSTIC CAFE, featuring STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN, FRANCESCA BATTESTELLI, JASON GRAY, LAURA STORY and MICHAEL W SMITH in an intimate, casual, concert setting.  Each artist sang & played backup for each other, and performed one of their radio hits as well as a taste of something new on the horizon.

Following the ACOUSTIC CAFE, it was time to board the buses and head to DISNEYWORLD for NIGHT OF JOY.  Rain didn't dampen the spirits, as MICKEY PONCHOS were the garb of the evening.  Multiple stages throughout the park provided more musical opportunities than one person could take in, along with rides, food & theme park frivolity that continued well into the night.  Performances included MERCYME, STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN, MICHAEL W SMITH, SKILLET, MANDISA, AUDIO ADRENALINE, FOR KING & COUNTRY, MORIAH PETERS, WE AS HUMAN and CITY HARBOR.

SATURDAY morning came very early, and the COFFEE TALK presented by KSBJ MENTORING came in very handy.  Following breakfast, ORLANDO MAGIC SVP/PAT WILLIAMS closed out MOMENTUM 2013 by challenging attendees to practice "LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE".  CASTING CROWNS and BUILDING 429 provided some traveling tunes to hum during the ride home.  

NIGHT OF JOY performances at DISNEYWORLD on SATURDAY night featured TOBYMAC, FRANCESCA BATTESTELLI, NEWSBOYS, MATTHEW WEST, GROUP 1 CREW, BUILDING 429, PLUMB and JAMIE GRACE.
