Kim Carson New Midday Host For WLAV

The website MLIVE.COM reports that CUMULUS MEDIA Classic Rock WLAV/GRAND RAPIDS has nabbed market veteran KIM CARSON to do the midday shift, replacing MARY ELLEN MURPHY who resigned. CARSON, who had been doing part-time at the station, starts TODAY (SEPTEMBER 12th).

CARSON told MLIVE.COM "I like music of all kinds, but it's more about connecting with an audience for me. I'm pretty much the same on the air regardless of format but I've done Classic Rock before at WCSX in DETROIT."

WLAV PD ROB BRANDT said, "I chose her because she's known throughout the market. She's a very talented and respected broadcaster." BRANDT also said that CARSON will also be assisting with the station's website and social media presence.

CARSON started her career in GRAND RAPIDS for WLHT in NOVEMBER, 2003.
