Jacobs Media Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

At THE RADIO SHOW in ORLANDO, JACOBS MEDIA celebrates three decades in the media consulting business. Best known for the creation and popularization of the Classic Rock format, the company has expanded its footprint across the Rock radio format family, as well as provided research and consulting services to a wide array of media companies and brands in radio, television, and audio entertainment.
The creation of jacAPPS in 2008 has put JACOBS into a leadership role in the mobile application front. To date, jacAPPS has developed more than 800 apps, generating more than 19 million downloads. The majority of these applications have been commissioned by radio stations, personalities, and brands.
JACOBS MEDIA has also expanded its reach into audience research, building on the foundation of FRED JACOBS’ background and time spent at FRANK N. MAGID & ASSOCIATES. Today, the company designs and implements nationwide technology studies for both commercial and public radio, widely quoted and used by the media and industry trades, as well as in educational publications.
JACOBS MEDIA’s revealing ethnographic studies, designed and conducted with ARBITRON -- "The Bedroom Project" and "Goin’ Mobile" have changed the way the radio industry views the fast pace of consumer tastes and attitudes.

And on OCTOBER 23rd-24th, JACOBS MEDIA is partnering to produce radio’s first conference devoted to the "connected car." It will take place in DETROIT, featuring a unique lineup of professionals from companies like FORD, PIONEER, TOYOTA, J.D. POWER, iHEART RADIO, PANDORA and many others.
