PREMIERE RADIO’s syndicated "THE BOBBY BONES SHOW" personality BOBBY BONES, along with BIG MACHINE’s LAURA BELL BUNDY raised $150,000 by completing their "TWO STEP FOR 30 ABES" 24-hour dance marathon (NET NEWS 9/10) at 7a (CT) this YESTERDAY (9/19).BOBBY’s morning show personalities AMY, LUNCHBOX, EDDIE, ALAYNA and RAY also participated in the event which took place at AVENUE in NASHVILLE and was live-streamed on the show’s website.
All proceeds from the event will benefit 30 ABES’ food packaging event that will take place on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th in NASHVILLE. The food packaging event will package 500,000 meals for the MAISON DES ENFANTS DE DIEU ORPHANAGE in PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI. It will also serve as a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS official attempt for the title of "most hunger relief meals packaged in one hour" by a team.
"What an amazing last few days," said BONES. "To reach our goal of $150,000 is an incredible testament to the listeners of Country radio. Because of them, we will be able to send 500,000 meals to hungry children. I couldn’t be prouder of my team."
"I’m absolutely floored at the amount of money raised and how that translates to meals for these kids," added BUNDY. "My heart is exploding! This event reminded me that music should inspire, encourage, and lift others... and that's what I'm in it for."
