Photo Agencies Sue More Radio Companies For Copyright Violations

Celebrity photo copyright holders NATIONAL PHOTO GROUP and BWP MEDIA USA have filed suit against more broadcasters for using copyrighted photos on their websites.
The filings are against HUBBARD Sports KSTP-A (1500 ESPN)/ST. PAUL-MINNEAPOLIS, filed on THURSDAY (9/19) in UTAH District Court; MAVERICK MEDIA LLC, filed by NATIONAL PHOTO GROUP on SEPTEMBER 11th in OHIO Northern District Court; L&L BROADCASTING, LLC, filed SEPTEMBER 20th in GEORGIA Southern District Court; SIRIUS XM RADIO, filed by BWP and NATIONAL JULY 31st in NEW YORK Southern District Court; LEIGHTON ENTERPRISES, INC., filed by BWP in WISCONSIN Western District Court on SEPTEMBER 6th; MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS, filed by BWP and NATIONAL on JUNE 25th in WISCONSIN Western District Court; ADX COMMUNICATIONS OF ESCAMBIA LLC, filed AUGUST 1st in FLORIDA Northern District Court; and CRAWFORD BROADCASTING CO., filed by BWP on JUNE 17th in PENNSYLVANIA Eastern District Court.
Previous reported filings were against CLEAR CHANNEL, ENTRAVISION, and TOWNSQUARE MEDIA.this year and ENTERCOM, SPANISH BROADCASTING SYSTEM, EMMIS, FORT WAYNE RADIO CORP. and TOWNSQUARE in 2012.
