Lex and Terry Bolt Cox, Join Clear Channel

As ALL ACCESS first tipped MONDAY (10/3), LEX AND TERRY have moved from COX RADIO to CLEAR CHANNEL for their syndication and are now doing their show, this week, from the PORT ST. LUCIE studios of WZZR (REAL RADIO 94.3)/WEST PALM BEACH-FORT PIERCE while they wait out a 120 day non-compete to air again in JACKSONVILLE, their show has been yanked from their longtime flagship, COX Rocker WFYV (ROCK 105).  Next week, L&T will resume broadcasting from JACKSONVILLE, but will not air in that market for the time being.

Longtime Dir./Syndication PETER WELPTON and the rest of the L&T crew are making the transition, and LEX & TERRY are still broadcasting to their 25-station network, including CC outlets WZZR, Talker WCZR/FT. PIERCE, Rocker WTKS/PENSACOLA, Rocker WXSR/TALLAHASSEE, Rocker WRXR/CHATTANOOGA, and Rocker KZZE/MEDFORD, OR.  As part of the new CLEAR CHANNEL deal to be formally announced later today, look for L&T to be placed on both CLEAR CHANNEL and non-CC stations.

In regards to their new partnership with CLEAR CHANNEL, LEX STALEY commented, "The LEX & TERRY radio network and CLEAR CHANNEL relationship is a win win situation on the syndication level. CLEAR CHANNEL provides a huge platform to expand the network to new heights that makes great business sense for both parties."
