IOWA PUBLIC RADIO has settled a suit brought by former IOWA BOARD OF REGENTS President and Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper editor MICHAEL GARTNER alleging violations of the Open Meetings Law, reports the CEDAR RAPIDS GAZETTE.
To settle the suit, IPR will air PSAs for IOWA's Public Information Board in morning and afternoon drive and weekend daytime for six months, and must not violate the Open Meetings Law for five years. The organization must also pay GARTNER's legal fees up to $35,715.
