It wasn't too long ago that JON SCOTT (NET NEWS 9/17) suggested a music industry gettogether in the wake of AL COURY's passing. He wrote on his FACEBOOK page, "When a great friend like AL COURY passes away, I always try to remember the good times we all had when we gathered at a convention, a bowling party, a golf tournament, an ALBUM NETWORK CHRISTMAS party, etc. Since there aren't many events like this these days, it seems like we never get together like we did before. Sure there are reasons why, but it's really not an excuse, especially when we see people leave us so suddenly."

SCOTT "called the SAGEBRUSH CANTINA in CALABASAS (home of many pre-bowing parties) and they have agreed to give us their outdoor patio for free, on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16th @6:30p. There is NO agenda except for seeing each other. You could call it a Music Industry Gathering of Friends, if you like. Now SCOTT suggests another reason this is a great idea. "As most of you now know, we lost an incredible music industry pro over the weekend, POLLY ANTHONY. Not only was she an icon, she led the charge for so many of us in the world of record promotion. To me, this is why myself and others are working on a Music Industry Reunion WEDNESDAY OCT. 16th at 6:30p at THE SAGEBRUSH CANTINA in CALABASAS, CA. It will be great to see many of our friends gather, with no agenda except to have some laughs and tell some stories. I really hope you can make it."
