CLEAR CHANNEL MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT is participating in Spirit Day WEDNESDAY (10/17), and syndicated Top 40 WHTZ (Z100)/NEW YORK morning host ELVIS DURAN and his morning show co-hosts are encouraging listeners and celebrity guests to wear purple in support of GLAAD's event, which asks participants to wear purple to take a stand against bullying and support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth.
DURAN will also turn his online presence purple WEDNESDAY, changing his official FACEBOOK and TWITTER photos to that color, and will sell Spirit T-Shirts on his website, with proceeds going to GLAAD.
“All of our show members are united and thrilled to wear purple and support Spirit Day,” DURAN said. "The dialogue about anti-bullying and acceptance is an important piece of our overall agenda. Thank you, GLAAD, for providing focus on this serious human rights issue.”
