In the latest LISTENERTHINK Christian radio P1 survey, listeners respond that they are very likely to turn to their favorite station to relax and unwind, at about the same rate as Country P1s.

53% of Christian P1s said listening to relax and unwind was very important to them, 29% somewhat, and 13% slightly important.  Only 5% said it was of little or no importance.  Relaxation is actually the only category where Christian P1s score higher than average compared to mainstream stations.  

Another interesting note is how many Christian P1s listen to "add to the fun" when they are in a group of people.  They are far less likely to listen socially as compared to other formats, as 24% of Christian P1s responded that listening with others was very important, 15% somewhat, 32% slightly, and 28% not important at all.

One could conclude that the listeners relationship with GOD directly impacts and influences their experience with their favorite radio station.  It would seem that it's far more than just social interaction to Christian P1s.  It's personal.
